Bengali Fish Curry

Now will learn how to prepare this dish
  • Fillets of Rohu fish
  • Mustard oil
  • 2 tsp. turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard cooking oil
  • Red Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin/ jeera powder
  • Curd
  • 1 large onion cut into small pieces
  • 3 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
  • Ginger paste                  
  •  Garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes chopped very fine
  • Curd
  •  Green coriander leaves
Marinate the fillets with turmeric powder and salt and mustard oil. Keep it for at least 1 hour.
Fry the marinated fish on a fry pan with mustard oil, fry it until the colour change. Now keep the fried fish in a bowl. Now give onion pieces, garlic paste, ginger paste, slight salt, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric powder, jeera powder  to the fry pan and cook it for 5 minutes now add pieces of potatoes and add a little water and boil the whole thing for another 10 minutes until the potatoes get boiled. Then add Curd and pieces of tomatoes. Mixed it with gravy and add the fried fishes. Cook it for another 10 minutes. Lastly add coriander leaves and serve it with hot rice.
